The Broadway and Wimbledon Station
Wimbledon town centre is down the hill, along the Broadway and around the station. This is where the shops, bars and restaurants are, along with the Centre Court Shopping Centre and the New Wimbledon Theatre.
Wimbledon station is a major hub. South Western Railway trains run fast into Waterloo, Thameslink trains loop through the area, the District line heads into central London, and the tram goes east to Croydon. It is a busy place, and the road outside is full of buses and taxis at peak times.
For pickups, we often use the side roads near the station or a spot along the Broadway, depending on traffic. Tell us where you are and we will agree the best place.
From our office in North Cheam, Wimbledon town centre is typically about 5 miles away through Morden. Off peak, the drive takes around 20 to 25 minutes.
Wimbledon Village on the Hill
Up the hill from the station, Wimbledon Village has a very different feel. The High Street and the Ridgway are lined with independent shops, cafés, restaurants and old pubs. Beyond it lies Wimbledon Common, with its famous windmill and acres of open heath.
The roads up Wimbledon Hill Road and around the Village can be slow on weekends, and parking is limited. A cab is the easy way to get there for dinner, a walk on the common or a visit to friends. We drop you right in the Village and pick you up later.
The Championships Every Summer
For two weeks every summer, Wimbledon becomes the centre of the tennis world. The Championships at the All England Club on Church Road draw huge crowds, and the roads around Wimbledon Park, Church Road and Southfields change completely.
There are road closures, parking restrictions and long queues. Our drivers know the drop-off areas that work during the tournament and will get you as close as the rules allow. If you have tickets, book your cab early. Demand is high, and we would hate for you to miss the first serve.
At the end of play, agree a pickup point away from the main crowds. A short walk can save you a long wait in traffic.
Plough Lane and Wimbledon Football
AFC Wimbledon play at their stadium on Plough Lane, between Wimbledon and Earlsfield. On match days the roads around it get busy, especially after the final whistle.
Book a return cab for the game and we will agree a pickup spot a short walk from the ground. It is far easier than waiting for a packed bus.
Theatre and Nights Out
The New Wimbledon Theatre on the Broadway hosts touring shows, musicals and an annual pantomime. The Polka Theatre, a theatre for children, is a short walk away. Add the restaurants and bars along the Broadway and the Village, and Wimbledon is a great night out.
A cab means nobody has to drive. Book a drop-off before the show and a pickup at the end. For groups, our 6 seater taxi takes everyone together.

Longer Trips from Wimbledon
Wimbledon is close to the A3, which leads to the M25 and beyond. We run Heathrow taxis and Gatwick minicabs from every Wimbledon postcode. For trains, we drive you straight to Waterloo Station or any other London terminus when the local lines are disrupted.
Walks on Wimbledon Common
Wimbledon Common is one of the largest open spaces in London. It has woodland, heath, ponds and miles of paths, plus the windmill with its small museum. Many people come from across south London to walk here, with or without a dog.
We drop you at the windmill car park area, by Rushmere Pond in the Village, or at any edge of the common you prefer. Agree a pickup time and spot for later, and enjoy the walk without worrying about parking.
Business Meetings in Wimbledon
Wimbledon has a large number of offices close to the station and along the Broadway. Business visitors often arrive by train and need a short ride to a meeting, or a car back to Cheam or Sutton at the end of the day.
We can set up regular bookings for companies and their guests. Every trip has a fixed fare and a confirmation, which keeps expense claims simple.
Students in SW19
Wimbledon College of Arts, part of University of the Arts London, sits on Merton Hall Road in South Wimbledon. Students often need help moving art materials, portfolios and belongings at the start and end of term.
Our MPVs have room for bulky items. Tell us what you need to move and we will send the right car.
Choose Your Vehicle

Luggage figures are a typical guide. Tell us your bag count when you book and we will match the car.
Wimbledon Hill Road and the Village
Wimbledon Hill Road links the town centre with the Village. It is steep, busy and often slow, especially on weekend afternoons when people head up to the shops and the common.
For trips to the Village, our drivers may use Worple Road and the Ridgway, or come in from the Parkside side, to avoid the queue on the hill. Small choices like these can save ten minutes, which matters when you have a table booked or a train to catch.
Neighbouring Areas We Cover
Wimbledon borders several areas we serve every day. Raynes Park lies just to the south west, Merton Park is to the south, and Colliers Wood is a short drive east. Our areas we cover page lists the rest.

Why a Local Firm Works Best
Wimbledon roads have their quirks. The station forecourt is crowded. Wimbledon Hill Road is steep and slow. Tennis fortnight turns everything upside down. A driver who knows these things gets you there faster and with less stress.
We are based just down the road in Cheam. Our drivers hold Transport for London licences, our fares are fixed, and you can always speak to a person on the phone.
